SI Baltic Sea Sessions is a digital initiative in which we explore results and lessons learnt through projects funded by the Swedish Institute in the Baltic Sea region. The Swedish Institute plans to arrange four sessions yearly on various topics linked to the development of the Baltic Sea region. Each session deals with a specific topic and showcases projects and initiatives that have contributed to progress and sustainability of the region. Projects or activities that are presented can involve all SI’s 15 programme countries. During each session we will open up for reflections, dialogue and hopefully future connections.
The first thematic session in the SI Baltic Sea Sessions calls together actors interested in circular food systems. The European Commission presents the Farm to Fork Strategy which is at the heart of the European Green Deal aiming to make food systems fair, healthy and environmentally-friendly. Partnerships of projects funded by the Swedish Institute tell about their work and results. Participants will be invited to reflect on their role in the circular food system and place themselves on the roadmap for more sustainable and circular food systems in the Baltic Sea region.
