Developing the Activities of Rural Teenage Girls Through Liberal Arts

One of the most important aspects of improving living conditions is having the right to say what you think and feel, and to have a forum in which you are able to do so without the fear of others attacking you or your thoughts/ideas. Our goal is to create an arts festival in Makunduchi where young teenage girls can talk with other members of the village about their views on a range of issues pertaining to their lives. This project aims to improve the ability of young girls to express themselves through art, music, theatre and poetry. It also aims to strengthen the social capital of women and girls in the community.
