From Local to Global Women’s Collective Solidarity

Our project aims to empower women activists and WHRDs (women human rights defenders) by fostering collective solidarity and advocacy skills at both local and global levels. This will be achieved by organising consultation sessions to gather insights and perspectives from the selected activists and WHRDs, identifying their needs, challenges, and experiences related to advocacy, support, and networking. Following these sessions, participants will convene for a pivotal in-person meeting to receive specialised training on protection, wellbeing, and readiness. This meeting will serve as a platform for establishing a roadmap for gender-related advocacy efforts and setting clear objectives and action plans. Additionally, selected members will participate in advocacy missions led by the MENA Gender Advocacy Hub, enhancing their skills and expanding their networks. Through collaboration and resilience, our project aims to amplify the voices of women activists, advance gender equality initiatives and challenge patriarchal narratives on a global scale.
