In the autumn of 2019 SI will offer webinars on different topics to the SI Network for Future Global Leaders (NFGL), consisting of current SI scholarship holders in Sweden. One webinar, preliminarily scheduled for December/January, will be devoted to stories of how SI alumni have made use of what they learned if Sweden in their career.
Current scholarship holders have expressed a wish to know how alumni have put knowledge into practice in their local context. Do you have any good examples? Was your expertise immediately welcomed or did you have to overcome any structural barriers to put your skills to use? Did you learn any methods or practices in Sweden which you were not able to apply in your home country? If so, why? Do you have any advice to scholarship holders who are about to graduate on how to bring about change in their local community, or in their workplace?
If you are a former scholarship holder and NFGL member and have a story to tell in line with this topic, please get in touch! Write to firstname.lastname@example.org and attach a brief summary (max. 2000 words) of what you would like to present at the webinar. Write “NFGL webinar” in the title of the email and don’t forget to provide your full name, SI scholarship programme and which year(s) you were in Sweden for your studies.
Deadline for submission is 15 September.
