Ministerial Visit to Lund within SI’s Programme for Ukraine’s Reconstruction

In November, Ukraine’s Deputy Minister for Communities, Territories and Infrastructure Development, Serhiy Derkach, together with Sweden’s Minister for Infrastructure and Housing, Andreas Carlson, visited Lund and Skåne. The visit also included a delegation of senior representatives from Ukrainian transport authorities.

The visit was part of the project TRANSFORM which is a training programme funded under the SI Ukraine Cooperation Programme and run by Lund University of Technology and K2 – the Swedish Knowledge Centre for Public Transport. The programme focused on developing sustainable methods to rebuild and strengthen Ukraine’s infrastructure and transport sector.

The programme brought together leading figures from Ukraine’s national and regional authorities working on reconstruction, transport and infrastructure – supporting reconstruction during and after the war and future EU alignment

“For the Swedish Institute, support for Ukraine is a top priority. Through this training programme, we have further strengthened relations between Sweden and Ukraine and laid a solid foundation for continued cooperation in the field of infrastructure and transport,” said Kurt Bratteby, Head of the Department for International Relations at the Swedish Institute.
