Annual Forum of the EU Strategy for the Baltic Sea Region and Engagement Day in Visby, October 29-31

This year’s forum for the EU Strategy for the Baltic Sea Region will be held in Visby, Sweden on October 30-31, with an optional side event on October 29, a day dedicated to further increasing engagement with the strategy.

The EU Strategy for the Baltic Sea Region aims to deepen cooperation among the countries around the Baltic Sea to address the region’s common challenges, focusing on saving the marine environment, connecting the region, and increasing prosperity. Over three days in October, you have the opportunity to participate in important discussions on how we together can address the region’s challenges and also support Ukraine.

SI, together with the Nordic Association and Region Gotland, organises the Engagement Day on October 29 to broaden participation and enhance engagement. This day targets representatives from municipalities, regions, civil society, youth organizations, and the business sector.

Participants will have the opportunity to present and discuss their ideas across eight policy areas: bioeconomy, health, culture, nutrient inputs to the sea, security, tourism, education, and hazardous substances. The goal is to increase engagement, generate new ideas, and promote cooperation initiatives.

Ukrainian stakeholders are also invited to participate to discuss cooperation opportunities and strengthen ties between the Baltic Sea region and Ukraine.

Don’t miss this opportunity to contribute to the implementation of the EU Strategy for the Baltic Sea Region and help address the region’s challenges.

We look forward to meeting you in Visby from October 29-31!
