A selected group of 16 delegates from United States are visiting Sweden 3-7 February for an inspirational study tour focusing on waste management and waste to energy. The tailor-made visit is a collaboration between the Swedish Institute, Smart City Sweden, the Embassy of Sweden in Washington DC, The Swedish Energy Agency and the City of Helsingborg
The overall goal is intensified dialogue, greater knowledge exchange and broader lasting and reciprocal relationships between American policy and decision-makers, and Swedish cities, industry, government agencies, academia, start-ups and entrepreneurs.
The US delegation will among other things visit Helsingborg with its unique waste innovation park, meet representatives from waste management companies and strategic innovation programmes for smart, sustainable cities and participate in a guided tour of Stockholm Royal Seaport, the largest urban development area in Sweden.
