Media visits to Sweden are an essential part of promoting Sweden. The visits are arranged by the Swedish Institute as a response to interest from international media. During 2020 approximately 60 journalists will visit Sweden.
10 journalists from Germany, South Korea, United States, China, South Africa, France, Brazil, Italy and United Kingdom will visit Gothenburg Film Festival. This year’s theme is gender equality in the film industry. 50 percent of films shown at the festival are directed by women.
The programme includes for example, meeting with Anna Serner, CEO of the Swedish Film Institute, Ronny Fritsche, winner of Sustainable Production Excellence Award, Wift Sverige: Women in Film and Television in Sweden and panel discussions on making the film industry more gender equal and sustainable
