The Digital Hansa project aims to strengthen the digital economy in the region. It will strive to boost innovation capabilities and internationalization for small and medium-sized enterprises by connecting researchers, entrepreneurs, start-ups and business leaders in Sweden, Lithuania and Poland.
Digitalization and automation are drivers of business development. With that in mind, this project emphasizes the importance of developing the digital economy in order to strengthen future innovation, competitiveness and growth. Furthermore, there are reasons to believe that cities are more effective than nations when it comes to creating favorable conditions for digital development, as cities can form hubs. Therefore, the Digital Hansa project focuses on creating a strong and wide network of actors in the cities Karlskrona, Gdynia and Klaipeda. The idea is to create a tech cluster that will increase their capabilities and opportunities.
The project aims to engage the main stakeholders of the cities to design a larger project – the Digital Hansa. The project focuses on increasing innovation capabilities and internationalization for small and medium-sized enterprises. In a broader perspective, the goals are also economic growth and attractiveness for the cities. The main activities will be workshops, meetings, dialogue with stakeholders and analysis.
