This project will produce and stage a theatrical production based on an existing collection of over fifty oral history interviews with Syrian women from different towns, ethno-religious and socio-economic backgrounds. The stories detail personal experiences of culture and society in Syria prior to 2011. The production will be a collaboration between women from Syria, Lebanon and Sweden. It will strengthen cross-cultural understanding and support women’s empowerment and participation.
