Hope Raisers and BACKA – Empowerment of young women and girls through training and art

The Backa workshops will help girls in Kenya to put their values into words. They will gain an understanding of norm criticism, civil courage, conflict management and rhetoric. This in turn will help them to find their inner voice, set boundaries and stand up for themselves and their sisters. Through a variety of art forms the project will help to create a safe platform where young girls can strengthen their voices and take their place.
