In the pilot-project “Illuminated dreams”, organisations in Sweden and Egypt will exchange art practices and implement workshops with female ex-prisoners in Alexandria and Abu Hammad, Egypt. It is a cross-disciplinary practice with social sculpture and psycho-drama. In Egypt there are very few social safety nets that can support female ex-prisoners after sentence. The project gives the women new channels to express themselves freely and aims to build a foundation for future collaboration.
