Campaigning apps have become ubiquitous communication channels for candidates during election campaigns in developed countries and are starting to be adopted in developing countries. Such platforms enable candidates to directly reach out to voters, mobilise supporters, and influence the public agenda. These fundamental changes in political communication therefore present election candidates with a widened range of strategic choices and help candidates address the topics of greatest importance.
