A permanent exhibition safeguarding the Kenyan cultural heritage with interactive music

This project will develop an interactive ethnomusicological exhibit in Nairobi, with eight SampleBars at its centre. Bomas of Kenya is partnering with Libido Music to protect and safeguard traditional Kenyan instruments that are facing extinction. The SampleBar is a fun and intuitive way to explore Kenyan traditional music, regardless of previous knowledge or skills. It is also an effective tool for teachers and professionals to demonstrate Kenya’s musical heritage to students and visitors.
