The project aims to build the capacity of cultural managers and civil society policy makers who will be able to ensure the democratic development of Belarus. On a training course followed by study visit to Gothenburg, a group of 20 Belarusian art producers, curators, project managers and promoters will obtain new knowledge and skills, and develop ideas of joint art projects for a Belarusian audience. These projects should make people reflect and discuss the values, norms, and challenges of modern democracy. In a series of public events, about 300 Belarusian civic activists, intellectuals, journalists and artists will learn and discuss the trends and achievements of contemporary art, economic models and culture support systems. A visible, institutionalized and growing community of 50 Belarusian cultural managers, activists and policy makers will emerge and continue to communicate through the common platform.
