Bangladesh – Plastic Free Week Activity and Plogging

This activity is organised by SI and Sweden Alumni Network Bangladesh. The activity is part of SI's campaign #PlasticFreeWeekSI aiming to create awarness of the global plastic pollution problem.
The Plastic Free Week challenges alumni members and associates to not consume any disposable plastics for at least a week. It will hopefully result in participants realizing how much plastic we surround ourselves with on a daily basis. The activity will create awareness about the negative impacts which plastic has on the environment while also offering a fun way for alumni to network with each other.

On the other hand, Plogging is a Swedish initiative taken by people who got fed up going for a run and seeing trash on the ground. The concept of Plogging means going for a jog and picking up trash at the same time. It has become a movement in Sweden and Swedish Institute encourage alumni networks to host a Plogging-event together with their members, families and friends.
