The project focuses on building a basis for future initiatives that will stimulate social entrepreneurship among Ukrainian refugees and internally displaced persons.
More than 6 million people have fled across Ukraine’s borders following Russia’s invasion, with the vast majority heading to neighbouring EU countries. In general, refugees face specific labour market integration challenges, if compared to other migrants.
The project aims to identify funding opportunities for future projects that will contribute to a well-functioning labour market. This includes supporting socio-economic mobility and the inclusion of migrants in host countries through access to quality training and the development of self-entrepreneurial skills. To achieve this, the project is forming a partnership consisting of non-profit organisations, research centres, governmental agencies, and higher education institutions. This current project will focus on developing a good practice research, a funding overview, and a final application for further funding.
