The aim of the project is to provide junior Ukrainian scholars with practical training in ethnographical assessment methods, fieldwork experience, and a working knowledge of Western academic publishing standards and practices.
Ukrainian higher education institutions face a plethora of challenges due to the Russian invasion of Ukraine, including disruptions in the academic process by military attacks, destruction of infrastructure and the reduced capacity of staff to train students.
The project activities include to engage junior scholars in a practical research project that collects data useful to Ukrainian universities on an institutional level. Junior scholars will also be given a year of support, including training in academic writing and publishing standards.
