Planners’Forum

The aim of the project is to establish a cooperation/support platform for land-based spatial planners of all governance levels to strengthen territorial cohesion in the Baltic Sea region.

The last years events, such as the COVID pandemic, impacts of climate change, Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, and the energy crisis have had negative consequences for the Baltic Sea macro-region. To adapt to new EU policies, there is a need for a flexible approach as well as improved information exchange between all governance levels.

Project activities include to identify needs and challenges of land-based spatial planners at regional and local level to perform effective spatial development planning and to develop proposals for macroregional working mechanism of landbased spatial planners.
