The aim of the project is to advance best practice concerning the sharing of fine-grained terrain maps for risks. The primary example of this will be wildfire ignition risk.
The use of robots is proliferating in support of first responders during disaster management. Most attention is focused on the response phase. However, there are also benefits from the use of this technology during the prevention/mitigation and preparedness phases.
The project activities will contribute to sensor platform system requirements and interface definitions for Unmanned Aereal Vehicles and Unmanned Ground Vehicles, sharing of risk information through fine-grained terrain maps.
