The project aims to analyse and compare trends in social welfare in the participating countries, identifying factors that affect regional stability and security.
The EU Eastern Partnership expansion faces security challenges, including instability and military conflict, which can significantly impact the economic situation, migration flows, and internal security of the EU. Ensuring security and stability in these areas is crucial for preserving European integration and development. One key aspect of supporting stability is the study of societal well-being. Understanding the social and psychological well-being of the population can help identify risks and potential issues threatening stability, as well as develop effective strategies to address them.
The goal of the project is to create a unified framework for studying social welfare and its impact on regional security. Project activities involve adapting Swedish survey instruments for use in Poland and Ukraine to obtain comparable data. Expected outcomes include a deeper understanding of the socio-psychological issues that affect regional stability, as well as the development of targeted strategies to improve well-being and security in these regions.
