Apply to be The Swedish Way digital ambassadors!

The Swedish Institute is strengthening our communication about Sweden as a business, work and study destination through a new official channel on WeChat. In this channel called "The Swedish Way (瑞慾æ–čćŒ)" we aim to present an appealing image of what it's like to do business, study or work in Sweden and one of the ways to do this is to use digital ambassadors. In this case that means Chinese talents who have moved to Sweden for work or research. We would like to invite you to share your daily life and work experiences in Sweden to inspire others that are interested in choosing Sweden. We are looking for up to six digital ambassadors, representing Swedish startup sector, larger companies and academia, within areas connected to the green transition. This is a great opportunity for Swedish companies and organisations to get visibility and create connections to talents and business in China and to help strengthen the image of Sweden.

What’s in it for you as a company/organization?

If an employee from your company/organization participates you will get visibility in Sweden’s official WeChat channel ‘The Swedish Way’ with 20000 + relevant followers in China.

There are no costs involved from either SI or the participating company/organization.

Your employee must be able to create content during their work time (approximately 16 hours in total). Your company/organization, the employee and SI will sign a three-party agreement.

What does it mean to be a digital ambassador?

As a digital ambassador, you’ll share your experiences of working and living in Sweden through our WeChat account “The Swedish way”. Basically, you’ll show our followers what work-life here is like. You will be expected to create two WeChat posts for the official Sweden WeChat account during October 2023 to February 2024, including text, pictures and short videos, whether it’s a how-to article or storytelling. One post is about your work/the solution your company has worked with for green transition and the other is about Swedish lifestyle and work culture at Swedish companies. The work you put into the content will be done as part of your current employment in Sweden.

We meet up as a group in Stockholm on 30 September – 1 October to kick off the project. If you live outside of Stockholm, SI will book the trip and hotel room for you. During the meet-up, we will introduce guidelines about how to create content for “The Swedish Way” account, plan a content calendar together and organize professional development workshops for you to take part in.
