The ceremony takes place yearly and has for the past years been held in the Blue Hall in Stockholm City Hall. It is a great opportunity to gather and celebrate the talented individuals who have received scholarships to study in Sweden before returning to the world to become the leaders of the future. In total, 517 laureates from 72 countries graduated this year.
– SI’s scholarship program gives hundreds of talented students the chance to study in Sweden every year. In return, Sweden gets the opportunity to build relationships with the world’s future leaders and decision makers. They have the prerequisites for promoting positive development in their home countries and globally, but can also open doors for our country abroad. The students are in many ways a fantastic resource for Sweden, says Annika Rembe, SI’s Director General.
The program for the evening featured inspiring talents and lovely choir singing after which all participants were invited to a mingle buffet.
