Nepal – Mini Forest Plantation Program

This alumni activity is organised by Sweden Alumni Network Nepal togheter with the Jane Goodall Institute Nepal and The Revolution Project. It consists of planting around 500 saplings and growing an urban forest at Naxal (Kathmandu) using ‘The Miyawaki Method’.

This activity is carried out by Sweden Alumni Network Nepal togheter with the Jane Goodall Institute Nepal and The Revolution Project.

The activity consists of planting around 500 saplings and growing an urban forest at Naxal(Kathmandu) using ‘The Miyawaki Method’. This method ensures plant growth 10 times faster and 30 times denser than usual and also becomes maintenance-free after the first three years.

The purpose of the event is to spread awareness among community people about the importance of green space in urban areas to contribute to SDG 13 and 15 which will eventually contribute to well being of people.

Few days before the plantation excavator will plow and make the ground ready for the plantation.
