Bangladesh: Waste management and Inclusiveness

This activity is organised by SI Alumni Network Bangladesh and is open to alumni and other invited guests (see below).

Bangladesh is a densely populated country and has been facing lots of environmental problems. To overcome this problem, building awareness and self-awareness of waste management and recycling are necessary for achieving a sustainable environment. School is a fundamental part of our early life. School helps to shape our habits, which we continue later. This finally contributes to building a nation. In this regard, the “SI Alumni Network in Bangladesh” will arrange an event on “Waste management and Inclusiveness.” We will conduct a three-hour workshop on the topic and domain experts will demonstrate related technical terms to the participants. The main objective is to build awareness among participants from diverse backgrounds about waste management and recycling for sustainability focusing on inclusiveness (SDG 16 and 12).

We will invite diverse participants from six diverse types of institutes:

1. Primary school
2. English medium school
3. Madrasa
4. Polytechnic
5. University
6. DISS (organization works for underprivileged children)
