The Hexagonal Pavilion

Presented in the frame of Swedish Design Movement, the Hexagonal Pavilion, specifically conceived for the garden of the Institut Suédois in Paris, demonstrates that wood can be a true catalyst for a sustainable society.

Designed by the Swedish architecture firm In Praise of Shadows architects, in collaboration with Ramboll and Swedish Wood, the Hexagonal Pavilion is made entirely of Swedish pine and symbolises the alliance between France, nicknamed “the Hexagon”, as the host country, and Sweden as the guest country.

Along with the hexagonal table, the “Lilla Snåland” stools and a lamp in stainless steel and textile paper, specifically created by designer Marie-Louise Hellgren, the Hexagonal Pavilion offers an ideal place for meeting and discussion, where inside and outside become one in a protective, yet open way.

Project initiated by Swedish Wood and Architects Sweden.
