Be a Part of Nature – Raising awareness about importance of preserving biodiversity and empowering female entrepreneurs and female rural associations as tools of strengthening civil society towards more sustainable and inclusive future

“Be part of nature” has by now already become a traditional gathering which, since 2018, brings together Swedish alumni from across the Western Balkan region. In addition to improving regional interaction and connectivity, it enables the acquisition of knowledge and development of creative ideas in the fields such as nature conservation and biodiversity, environmental protection and promotes inclusion through a series of actions aimed at strengthening women’s entrepreneurship and rural women’s associations as well as the inclusion of all vulnerable social categories. The activities within this event mostly contribute to raising awareness and bringing closer the set goals defined by the “Agenda 2030” of the United Nations and the European agreement “Green Deal”, to which the countries of the Western Balkans are signatories.
Due to the growing need to develop sustainable “green” entrepreneurship and the circular economy, the event “Be Part of Nature 2022” will bring together a significant number of both women entrepreneurs and women who need support to implement their ideas, and which will be part of panel discussions, lectures and promotional mini fair have the opportunity to share experiences but also to present their success stories and products.

The event will also discuss the development of women’s entrepreneurship in the field of eco-tourism, where participants will visit several interesting sites in the area of South Banat and get acquainted with successful examples of good practice. One such example is Villa Rebel, which will be the place to gather and organize most of the activities envisaged by this project.

Deliblato was not without reason chosen to host such an event due to the geographical location and proximity of special nature reserves (SRP) “Deliblato Sands” and Lake “Kraljevac” but also the increasingly popular Zagajicka hills, whose tours, accompanied by a professional guide, are planned the agenda of this event.
