During the two-day media visit the journalists have met female tech entrepreneurs, Swedish start-ups and the Swedish Agency for Economic and Regional Growth to learn for example how Sweden is working to reach a more gender balanced innovation and tech industry.
One of the visiting journalists is Rekha Balakrishnan, based in Bangalore, the Silicon Valley of India. She is working at yourstory.com. India’s leading media platform for entrepreneurs & the entrepreneurial ecosystem.
– Meeting various women entrepreneurs as part of this event has reiterated that we need “solidarity in sisterhood” more than ever before. I am taking back with me stories of enterprising women, who are going the extra mile to either get their products off-ground or their services to make an impact.
The visiting journalists are from South Africa, India, Japan, Hungary, Brazil, Turkey, Belarus, Argentina, Croatia, Zambia and Uganda.
