The project aims to support Ukraine’s PhD students and young researchers in the area of Additive Manufacturing in their professional development´. It will connect them to international research and development environments.
Additive manufacturing technologies have the utmost importance for the reorganisation and post-war recovery of the Ukrainian economy. But several social and economic factors limit the accomplishment of the new generation of specialists in the field. The brain drain affects it stronger than in many other areas. The domestic educational system is not well structured to adapt to the ever-changing needs of students, especially at the higher levels of specialization and there is a substantial gap between the academic institutions and the industry.
The project will therefore provide opportunities for exchange, education, and training in an international environment, aiming to develop the skills and experiences of young researchers. It will contribute to a variety of choices regarding career development and education, provide access to new teaching programs and research projects.
