ArCh – Arts for Change

The project aims to strengthen the rights of women and girls in the region. In the first year, our MENA-network will meet for a regional camp to renew their artistic facilitation tools used for unpacking difficult emotions faced by girls and women in refugee communities. Each country will then conduct “laughter-infused local interventions” in nearby refugee communities, featuring clown parades, concerts, or art shows, fostering hope and shared human connection. This initiative offers accessible performance art in conflict-affected areas, promoting empathy and civil society participation. In the second year, the networking camp prioritizes outcome sharing and a collective “laughter-infused intervention”, enabling MENA participants to collaborate in person, reinforcing the artistic MENA network of human rights advocates.
