Baltic AID 3.0; Baltic Artists in Development 3.0

The project will strengthen the cooperation within the region’s music industry by fostering the exchange of knowledge, methods, and processes for innovation. The goal is to transform the music business to be become more flexible, transparent, and sustainable. Music organisations, musicians and managers in the Baltic Sea region will join forces to find new and innovative possibilities to change an unsustainable music business, by exploring innovative methods and technologies.

The independent music scene is fragmented in its combination of commerce, public funding, and self-financing. The international scene for self-managing musicians and independent music managers lacks transparency and is founded on a business model that proves itself to be non-functioning. There is a common need for new ways of thinking and thereby working and cooperating.

Among the activities are workshops, lectures and discussions shared in a toolbox, building a digital solution to develop and sustain the network. The long-term impact of the project will be about changing the independent music market through innovation models and methods.
