The aim of the project is to promote transnational youth engagement for a sustainable Baltic Sea. Biosphere Reserves will share experiences and results from local initiatives and projects to find new areas for cooperation to increase youth engagement.
Biosphere reserves (BRs) are learning sites and model areas for sustainable development designated by UNESCO. One of the most important roles of BRs is to inspire a positive future by connecting people and nature. By highlighting sustainability challenges, BRs create local action and engagement to find solutions to these challenges.
Youth engagement will be achieved through online webinars and an on-site youth forum. At the end of the project a report will be disseminated including best practice and a youth network will be in place.
