BSSFC

The long-term aim of the project is to create a strong network of organisations around the Baltic Sea region, with a desire to work together for a secure sustainable food supply chain in the region, from farm to fork.

Food is a common challenge in the Baltic Sea area and the project addresses issues such as security, sustainability, equality, governance, business development and innovation. The experience of recent years with global supply disruptions, war, food price increases and economic hardships have shown that this challenge is a transnational issue.

The project activities will form the basis for the establishment of a network around local food development around the Baltic Sea region that will continue to be developed through further projects. Some of the project activities are to develop a map of actors in current national supply chains for each participating country, to describe the roles, competencies, and resources of each type of company on the maps, physical and digital workshops.
