Building Bricks – children, youth and women and cultural heritage in Mardin

The aim of the meeting is to discuss the possibilities of starting a process of collaboration and to plan and develop a project idea that could result in an educational program located at the Mardin City Museum.

The idea is to join forces and make use of our different experiences for the development of a feasible project. The basic idea consists in using cultural heritage as a creative learning tool for children, young adults and women to engage with their own cultures including their rights and their duties. In addition to this, we want to develop a project that also promotes community partnership and local participation building, and that strengthens the self-esteem of currently marginalised groups (internal and external migrants/refugees) and builds bridges in host communities.
