Creative arts for shifting power for equality in marginalized communities of Georgia

Ethnic and religious minorities which constitute 13% of the population face challenges which are hindering Georgia’s democratic development. The Kists, a longstanding Muslim community in Pankisi Gorge, have endured stigmatization linked to terrorism, further marginalizing the region. This project will address the challenge with an innovative and creative approach, leveraging visual art as a powerful medium for engaging with women and young girls. Recognizing the transformative nature of art in challenging dominant stereotypes, especially in marginalized communities like Pankisi Gorge, the project aims to empower through art education and creative activities.
