Cultural Spaces as Catalysts for Democracy (CSCD) is a deliberate effort to strengthen the connection between cultural spaces and their role as catalysts for democracy. The project will be spearheaded by EastHub, a dynamic working group within Trans Europe Halles’ (TEH) Network, where cultural and civil organisations from Georgia, Ukraine and Azerbaijan generously open their doors and share their spaces, resources and wealth of knowledge with other cultural and civil society organisations and professionals. CSCD supports dialogue between local communities and different stakeholders, while identifying ways for independent cultural centres to become gravity points for local communities, become trusted hubs for people to engage in the democratic life of their community, and share their problems and find common solutions.
