The aim of the project is to lay the foundation for cooperation on data models for the integration and interpretation of data in smart- and connected dairy farming systems.
Digitisation of the dairy sector creates huge opportunities for research and improved sustainability in the dairy sector. The transition from “traditional” farming to the implementation of precision dairy farming is gradual and far from complete even in countries with high degrees of digitisation. The common challenge for the participants is to understand this process and find commonalities for further cooperation to promote regional development and enable international research cooperations.
Each partner will deliver an evaluation of the models and based on the initial data model the partners will perform a survey among relevant stakeholders to evaluate if there are differences in national priorities and capabilities in terms of measurement. A short report will be circulated among stakeholders accompanied by a short digital survey. Respondents will have the option to express their interest in active engagement for future calls or passive engagement with updates on the topic.
