The project aims to strengthen democratic engagement in Türkiye by equipping young political actors and civil society leaders with essential skills in advocacy, governance, and policymaking.
Increased political polarization and shrinking civic space limit youth participation in decision-making, while a lack of strategic skills hinders their ability to engage in public discourse and policy reform. Existing institutional barriers further marginalize youth voices in governance processes.
Through expert-led workshops, interactive labs, mentorship, and peer learning, the project will build capacities in governance, political communication, and civic engagement. A three-day Democracy Barcamp will enable co-designed policy discussions, while a job-shadowing visit to Sweden will provide hands-on experience in a pluralistic political environment. By combining national and international expertise, the project aims to empower a diverse group of young changemakers to influence democratic processes and drive policy innovation.
