The aim is to improve the environmental, social, and financial sustainability of municipal waste management services by increasing public awareness and implementing digitisation in the collection operations.
Providing qualitative and cost-effective municipal waste management services in rural areas with low density and high seasonal fluctuations in population is a challenge throughout the Baltic Sea region and the EU Eastern Partnership countries.
The project aims to explore needs, stakeholders, concepts, and funding to increase the environmental, social, and financial sustainability of the sector. The expected result is a robust cooperation framework that includes an understanding of the needs and relevant stakeholders, a communication strategy, a digitisation concept, and a realistic financial solution to initiate a larger cooperation.
