The aim of the project is to enhance knowledge, competencies, and skills related to digitisation for the sustainable utilization of forest resources contributing to environmental and climate resilience.
A shared challenge among the partners, their respective countries, and the region, is to optimize the potential of digitisation for the sustainable management of forest resources. The development of new digital technologies requires substantial resources. Through cooperation, partners can achieve cost-efficiency and harness the full potential of knowledge and experience within the region.
The project partners will arrange online workshops focusing on specific topics, such as AI, remote sensing via satellites and aircrafts and forest management. Additionally, two in-person meetings will be organised. The partners will jointly identify digital technologies for further development in a long-term cooperation.
