The project aims to address challenges facing labor rights and union empowerment in Albania. One primary issue is the lack of adequate infrastructure and resources for unions to effectively organize, educate and advocate for workers’ rights. To tackle this problem, the project proposes the establishment of the House of Workers, a shared facility that provides a dedicated space for unions, workers and other stakeholders to collaborate and engage in capacity-building activities. In so doing, the project not only addresses the immediate need for infrastructure but also fosters a sense of community and solidarity among workers and unions. This approach aligns with the project’s objectives of empowering trade unions, strengthening organizational capacity, and fostering dialogue and collaboration among stakeholders in the context of Albania’s EU integration. By providing learning, training and networking, the project aims to contribute to a more empowered and inclusive labour movement in Albania.
