The objective of this project is to establish contact and cooperation between organisations representing retired persons in Murmansk and Haparanda. We will hold two meetings to discuss the rights of elderly people and how they can contribute to the democratic development of their communities through culture. We expect that the project will empower the members of both organisations to become more active in local social and cultural life and make them aware that they are valuable members of their respective communities.
