The overall aim of the project is to form peace ethics among youth by upholding sustainable intercultural communication, cooperation, lasting and just peace as well as sustainable development. Peace and security will be promoted in close connection with the values of cooperation and human development.
Despite increasing security threats and urgent need for transnational dialogue on the topics of peace and development, contacts between the youth in the region remain episodic. The project is designed to overcome this disunity, lay the foundations for future regular dialogue, and create a peer network for long-term cooperation.
Activities include development and implementation of peace-building workshops, focus-group discussions, live and online learning sessions with youth leaders, researchers, and experts on the issues of peace, security, intercultural dialogue, ethics of peace, and critical thinking. The realisation of the project will help make youth’s voices heard by policymakers.
