ETIP; Empowering Teachers, Inspiring Pupils – A Transnational Approach to Fun and Engaging Climate Education

Education plays a crucial role in addressing the climate crisis. This project aims to equip teachers in the Baltic Sea Region with science-based pedagogical tools and knowledge to deliver fun and engaging climate education to middle and high school pupils. In addition, it seeks to increase climate literacy and promote climate-friendly behaviours among pupils.

Climate change is a common challenge for the region and education plays a crucial role. Teachers in the Baltic Sea region face a common challenge when it comes to effectively implementing education for sustainable development and teaching about climate change.

The main activities of the project include developing and disseminating teaching materials such as an educational card game, training teachers and organising partnership meetings for peer learning. The partnership brings together complementary expertise and resources, ranging from climate science expertise to extensive networks and established communication channels. The project also aims to expand and strengthen the network of partners with the goal of pioneering and inspiring more countries in climate education and effective communication of climate science.
