EUSBSR Forum GE 3.0 is a project addressing gender equality in the Baltic Sea region. Its main focus is on innovation and entrepreneurship for growth.
Women’s participation on the labor market is crucial for growth in the region, the project argues. Less women on the labor market means less GDP. Therefore, it is important to better understand the structures, values and norms in innovation and entrepreneurship. It is also necessary to raise the awareness and knowledge about gender equality in the Baltic Sea region countries. It is a perspective that should be integrated in policies, strategies and actions for innovation and entrepreneurship for growth.
Against this background, the project will establish a regional forum – the European Baltic Sea Region Forum for Gender Equality and Growth 3.0. The project will focus on legislation and policies for gender equality. The activities will include establishment of the organization, administration and a steering committee. Also, a budget plan and a communication strategy will be produced. Moreover, the project will arrange workshops and practice using a toolkit for integrating gender equality in innovation systems and produce digital reports of the needs, conditions and research for the forum. It will use a model from a previous project as a manual for labor market issues, as well as other successful models and best practices to support women in the labor market.
