The project aims to equip civil servants in the Ukrainian local government (Sumy Region) with knowledge and skills on how to develop good governance and accountability in their municipalities and beyond.
Development of good governance and accountability structures are crucial prerequisites for Ukraine’s further integration and potential entry into the EU. The challenges in further development of good governance and accountability in local government include issues associated with delimitation of the responsibility between the civil servants and politicians at the municipal level.
Project activities include to develop an educational platform and networking between Swedish and Ukrainian civil servants.
