Highlighting Gender-Equality Champions among men and boys in Uganda to accelerate SDG 5

Involving men and boys is increasingly being recognized as critical to achieving gender equality. Taking into consideration the context: rural setting, the increase in GBV during Covid-19 pandemic, low level of formal education, conservative traditional roles etc, the project will map the prevalence of gender-equality champions among boys and men in Uganda; conduct planning meetings; carry out community-driven focus groups and workshops. In addition, the project will explore innovative ways to bring positive changes by mapping the current cultural and media landscape while networking and developing strategic partnerships with target groups as regards to edutainment and gender equality.
