The project addresses the urgent challenge of habitat degradation and pollution in the Baltic Sea region.
To restore ecosystems across the Baltic Sea region, coordinated efforts are needed that extend beyond national borders. The project promotes a catchment-based approach to restoring land and water resources, with a focus on developing common, transnational evaluation measures.
By closing knowledge gaps on land–coast–sea interactions and exploring ecosystem feedbacks, legacy sources, and joint management solutions, the project lays the groundwork for future cooperation. Activities include roundtable discussions, public outreach via social media, and concept development for future cooperation.
