The aim of the project is to provide objective recommendations for enhancing case consideration, improving efficiency indicators, and assessing the effectiveness of Ukraine’s judicial system.
Challenges include a widespread distrust among citizens towards the judiciary system. Ukraine ranks 3rd in complaints lodged with the European Court of Human Rights, with about one-third citing violations regarding court proceedings’ duration or enforcing decisions. Despite judicial reforms, the system’s effectiveness remains largely unchanged.
The project will leverage innovative statistical analysis methods and AI algorithms to process Ukrainian case-law data to uncover systemic issues within the judicial system, enable better predictions of case outcomes and identify areas for improvement.
