Media Literacy Against Hate Speech in Lebanon

This project addresses the issue of hate speech in Lebanon. It will develop a media literacy training course for teachers. Once trained, the teachers will teach students aged 14‒18 about subjects such as freedom of expression, freedom of religion and belief, and recognizing misinformation or ‘fake news’. The students who undergo the education programme will develop a media campaign using video booths in schools. Contact will also be established with a school in Sweden in order to encourage cross-cultural dialogue.
